The location was easy walking distance from the train station, next to Calter Hill, with short walks to the Royal Mile, shops, museums, parks, etc. We climbed Calter Hill and Arthur’s Seat, toured the castle, went to several museums, and visited the extensive botanical garden. We enjoyed returning to the hotel tucked into a quiet street with a fireplace in the reception room. (Even in May, a fire was welcome.) For breakfast, there was a choice of cooked food along with the continental breakfast spread, or cold food only. There is a recommended restaurant (Howi’s) within steps of the hotel, but it was booked when we checked. We found good casual food places a few blocks away on Rose St.

The Parliament House was just so nice and cozy. A fabulous location, near the train station, easy walking distance to the Royal Mile and all that offers and right around the corner from the starting point of the hop on hop off buses. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. It's quiet and comfortable though and the staff was wonderful to us. There is breakfast available there for a fee, and it was very good. Drinks are also available in the lobby, which is really cool. We just loved it there. We felt that for the location, we got a great value.

I have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions as it is a lovely and clean hotel in an ideal central location. A very quick walk from Waverley train station. The staff have always been helpful. I have loved the view from two of the rooms I stayed in so far (one overlooking Old Calton Burial Ground) and was a nice spacious room, and the other had a view of the front facing Calton Hill which was also lovely. I love the Brodies coffee available in the rooms too! I have recommended this hotel to people and would stay again.

Beautiful accommodation almost in the city center. Excellent accessibility from the airport, with public transport stops all around; you can reach the main street on foot in just a few minutes. The hotel’s common areas are very nice, and while the rooms are small, they are completely adequate. We tried the Scottish breakfast and received a full plate of food, but on the other hand, it wasn't anything we couldn't find nearby for a lower price.

The location of the hotel was perfect. You’re not even a five minute walk from Waverley. The room was more spacious than we imagined and the staff were very friendly. Carlton Hill is next to it for perfect views of Edinburgh. Don’t miss the restaurant Howies on the corner, best food we ate in Edinburgh! We will definitely be back!
